York’s Quality Education & Training Center is working with a local organization called Save Our Veterans (SOV) to teach trained military personnel new skills pertinent to a profession in HVACR.

HELP Plumbing, Heating, Cooling and Electric (formerly known as Thompson) has been named the DAV (Disabled American Veterans) 2013 Outstanding Small Employer of the Year. HELP received the award from Disabled American Veterans, a nonprofit organization with 1.2 million members.

Kenneth D. Goodrich, managing partner of Phoenix Peach LLC, a Nevada-based private equity fund, has announced the start of a campaign to actively hire military servicemen and women in need of work at Goettl Good Guys Air Conditioning Repairmen and The Sunny Plumber. 

Thompson Electric, Plumbing, Heating and Cooling hosted its fourth annual Veterans Day Celebration at its company headquarters. The company presented a check in the amount of $55,010 to Marc Burgess, executive director of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
