THOMASVILLE, Ga. – Cleaver-Brooks announced that it is the first manufacturer to earn AHRI certification for its ClearFire®-LC (CFLC) 12,000 MBtu/hr hydronic condensing boiler, and it is only the second manufacturer in the industry to earn AHRI certification for a 10,000 MBtu/hr hydronic condensing model.
Available in seven sizes, these commercial boilers and volume water heaters are fueled by natural or liquefied petroleum (LP) gas. The units deliver efficiency levels up to 85 percent, with stage firing of up to 4:1, and cascade with auto redundancy.
Residential heating contractors can hone their condensing boiler technology skills and knowledge by participating in Weil-McLain’s 2018 School of Better Heating Presents: Condensing Boiler Technology - Contractor Edition program. The School of Better Heating program is an annual series of comprehensive training seminars.
This boiler achieves high efficiency due to its enhanced AluFer® firetube heat exchanger and dual temperature returns. When utilized, dual temperature returns increase condensing in a hot water boiler, raising efficiency.
The NFB, Navien Fire Tube Boiler, is designed for residential and light commercial applications. Four models will be displayed at AHR: 175,000, 199,000, 299,000 and 399,000 Btu/h, each offering a new patented heat exchanger design, ease of installation and service, intuitive interface, advanced controls, and simplified integration with IoT.
Like its waterback cousin, the CBEX Dryback Elite achieves 3 percent O2 across its 10:1 turndown range. The standard package offers 30 ppm NOx with less than 10 ppm CO.
Available in early 2018, the ProLine XE Combi Boiler is engineered with residential building professionals in mind. By moving critical components, such as the built-in circulator, to an easily accessible location within the unit, service and maintenance are dramatically simplified.
Preventive Maintenance is Crucial for Commercial Hydronic Systems Unfortunately, many homeowners, business owners, and technicians are willing to let the boiler slide for months or even years without a proper checkup.
Goodway Technologies launched several new calculators to help facility managers and personnel understand the impact descaling solutions can have on their bottom line and overall efficiency, while also helping to determine how much descaler is required.
These boilers are available from 50-300 hp, in a range of steam options, and use natural gas or propane. Their compact size allows most models to fit through an industrial, 7-foot doorway, while their naturally low nitrogen oxide (NOx) ratings are as low as 9 ppm, depending on the model.
