The Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada’s (HRAI’s) manufacturers division recently reported that residential air conditioner shipments increased 16 percent in the first quarter of 2012 as compared to the first quarter of 2011.

The Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating (CIPH) recently released a market data report that showed ductless split system shipments had increased 30 percent in the fourth quarter of 2011 over the previous year.
