The Building Performance Institute has updated the standard to provide more flexibility to contractors while maintaining consistent and conservative savings estimations.
The conference in Austin, Texas, which drew 240 building industry professionals, included keynotes, paper presentations, seminars, vendor demonstrations, panel discussions, and debates from more than 90 presenters.
The updated standard, ANSI/BPI-1100-T-2023, defines the minimum criteria for conducting a science-based, whole-building assessment of a residential building.
ESCO Group announced the appointment of Renee Tomlinson as executive director of ESCO Institute, and as an executive board member of ESCO Group, effective Feb. 1. Tomlinson joined the ESCO team in 2011 after spending 17 years with the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society. Over the last several years, Tomlinson has worked in various roles within ESCO Group to help the organization meet its long-term goals for industry advancement.
Three leading organizations representing the home inspection, real estate, and green building industries have approved the Building Performance Institute’s (BPI’s) Building Science Principles (BSP) Certificate of Knowledge for the continuing education of their members.
