The United States and Canada are leading the world with programs to deliver industrial energy efficiency services to customers, according to a new report by the Institute for Industrial Productivity (IIP) and the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE).
States continue to move strongly in 2012 to advance energy efficiency initiatives regardless of which political party is in control of state legislatures and governors’ offices, according to the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) on the release of its sixth annual State Energy Efficiency Scorecard.
National efficiency standards for appliances, lighting, and other equipment will save consumers and businesses more than $1.1 trillion and dramatically reduce greenhouse gas pollution and other emissions by 2035, according to a recent study titled “The Efficiency Boom: Cashing In on Savings from Appliance Standards.”
