According to a report from Pike Research, many of the companies in this growing market are now turning to utilities as a market channel for their products and services.

Honeywell announced that it has acquired Inncomm, a Connecticut-based, privately held manufacturer of advanced software-based energy management solutions and in-room controls for lodging, health care, and educational institutions. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
