Taco Inc.’s SmartPlug Instant Hot Water Control was announced as the 2017 AHR Expo Innovation Award Product of the Year at the Show’s Innovation Awards ceremony in Las Vegas. The product, which also secured a win in the Innovation Awards’ plumbing category, allows for easy installation onto existing domestic hot water recirculation pump systems, to more efficiently manage on-demand hot water delivery. 

Taco Inc. wins the best-of-the-best at the 2017 AHR Expo Innovation Awards ceremony held Tuesday, Jan. 31. Taco won the Product of the Pear award for its SmartPlug Smart Hot Water Recirculation Control. 

The Danfoss CTM Multi-Ejector — winner in the 2017 AHR Expo Innovation Awards’ refrigeration category — is a multi-ejector designed for warm climate transcritical CO₂ systems. 

Opportunity Village serves children and adults with intellectual disabilities in the southern Nevada community and aims to enhance their lives via vocational training, community employment, day services, advocacy and arts, and social recreation.

On Tuesday at the 2016 AHR Expo, the winners in each of the 10 product categories of the AHR Expo Innovation Awards gathered in Product Theatre A to learn which of them had been chosen as the 2016 AHR Expo Product of the Year Award winner.

The AHR Expo Innovation Awards competition honors the most inventive and original HVACR products, systems, and technologies showcased at each year’s show in the categories of: building automation; cooling; green building; heating; indoor air quality; plumbing; refrigeration; software; tools & instruments; and ventilation.

Each year the AHR Expo gives back to the local community by donating the sum of Innovation Award entry fees to an organization in the region where the show is being held. This year, the Jacksonville Police Athletic League (PAL), was selected as the beneficiary.
