Mitsubishi Electric celebrated at the AHR Expo in style Monday night at The Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago. More than 600 people registered for the event, well above average attendance for previous years, according to Kevin Miskewicz, senior manager, commercial marketing, Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & Heating Division.
ClimaCool hosted a training session followed by a reception at the Trump Tower Chicago on Sunday, Jan. 25, before the start of the AHR Expo. The training session, which focused on simultaneous heating and cooling systems, drew 150 attendees — about three times what was expected. Nearly double that number attended the reception.

The Massachusetts House of Representatives has passed a comprehensive renewable thermal energy bill that will promote the use of clean renewable fuels and technologies for heating and cooling. Passed earlier by the Massachusetts Senate, the bill is expected to be signed by Gov. Deval Patrick and go into effect on Jan. 1, 2015.

The company designed and built the complex HVAC systems used to maintain the temperature of the cabins in the observation wheel.
Rheem announced that it has acquired Heat Transfer Products Group (HTPG), Scottsboro, Ala., from Monomoy Capital Partners. Rheem is a manufacturer of heating, cooling, water heating, and pool/spa heating products. HTPG is a manufacturer of commercial refrigeration equipment for the foodservice, food retail, and other markets.
