Fun in the sun with the correct mix of business and pleasure was on the agenda when the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) traveled to Palm Springs, Calif., and hosted its highest attended annual meeting to date, as more than 600 people attended the three-day conference.
However unpredictable my vote may be, like many of you, I go to the polls. It dawns on me that perhaps the most important factor in this election year, (and in many elections past) is the number of people who will not go to the polls — and thereby, will determine the election.
FMI, a provider of management consulting and investment banking to the engineering and construction industry, has announced the release of its second quarter Nonresidential Construction Index (NRCI) for 2012. Rising 1.7 points from the first quarter to 59.8, this is the highest confidence rating achieved since the index was developed in 2007.
