Reducing energy consumption is a goal of commercial building owners and managers, and the way to do that is to take an overall systems approach when designing HVAC systems.

Uponor is extending its current pre-insulated cross-linked polyethylene (PEX) pipe offering to include insulation thicknesses up to 2 inches to comply with the ASHRAE 90.1-2013 Energy Code and the 2012 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC). 

Uponor North America held an official groundbreaking ceremony to commemorate the company’s seventh expansion in the greater Twin Cities area. The $18 million expansion project will add an additional 88,000 square feet for lean manufacturing, office space, and additional manufacturing equipment.

Uponor North America announced it is expanding its manufacturing facility in Apple Valley, Minnesota, beginning late spring 2015, with completion expected by Dec. 1, 2015. The $18 million investment will be used toward renovation and creation of an additional 88,000 square feet.

Zelite polyethylene tubing comes in a linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) formulation. This formulation provides enhanced resistance to splitting during use over the low-density type because of its increased elasticity.
