ASHRAE has announced that the 2013 editions of its refrigerant safety standards, incorporating 41 new addenda, have been published.

As the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) ratchets up its scrutiny on temp workers, employers must understand and comply with their duties regarding training and safety, before accidents occur.

ACCA awarded three companies with the 2013 Safety Excellence award, sponsored by Federated Insurance, a company that provides businesses with risk management tools and resources.

Relief valves are used to release abnormally high pressure inside a vessel before that pressure causes the vessel to erupt. 

While safety procedures won’t guarantee that no one will ever get hurt on the job, it lessens the chances of it happening. If they are crafted correctly, they can help keep the company and workers in compliance with the law.
