The Air Conditioning Contractors of America revealed the results
of its Contractor Comfort Index for March and found that association members
are optimistic about short-term gains.
“Since this bill was signed into law, small
business owners have watched insurance premiums increase, and in some cases
their plans discontinued, forcing some to purchase more expensive policies or
drop their coverage,” said 2011 ABC National Chairman Michael J. Uremovich.
Carrier, which is
owned by United Technology Corp., operates its bus business in York, Pa., where
it has about 50 workers. After the deal is finalized in about 30 days,
production will be moved from Carrier’s Athens, Ga., plant to a Mobile Climate
facility.
