The Copper Development Association and Canadian Copper & Brass Development Association are now taking submission for its 2019 North American Copper in Architecture Awards through Jan. 31, 2019.  

With its natural, brilliant look, hard anodic structure, environmentally responsible production, and great ROI, anodized aluminum is an excellent choice for architectural exterior applications when quality control is desired.

Ahead of the annual FABTECH metal forming, fabricating, welding and finishing expo in Atlanta, Georgia, this week, here are the new products we are excited to see. 

Each year, the North American Copper in Architecture (NACIA) Awards are judged by a panel of industry experts who examine the use of architectural copper in building design, installation craftsmanship and restoration. 

An architectural array of CENTRIA-brand products — including Versawall insulated metal panels in Pewter, EcoScreen aluminum — recently put the finishing touches on a 135,000-square-foot building at the New England Conservatory of Music in Moon Township, Pennsylvania.  

A 4,500-square-foot house located near Grayton Beach, Fla., now has a metal standing-seam roof and metal exterior. 

EU officials said the tariffs represent $7.5 billion worth of trade. European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said the 28-nation bloc will not be bullied.

The alliance points out that metal roofing has a Class A fire rating — making it among the highest, most fire-resistant materials available.

The Florida Roofing & Sheet Metal Contractors Association’s 96th annual convention takes place June 27-29 at the Gaylord Palms resort.

Metal roofing can last up to 50 years or more and is fully recyclable, officials with the Metal Roofing Alliance point out.
