Faith in the market for new, single-family homes
declined to its lowest level since February, according to a
National Association of Home Builders survey.
The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and
Air-Conditioning Engineers brought its summertime meeting and about 1,400
members to New Mexico’s hot, desert city.
Construction employment declined in 294 metro
areas between May 2009 and May 2010, while holding steady in 27 and increasing
in 16 areas, AGC officials reported.
