Subsidiaries of EMCOR Group Inc. have been very busy recently. For example, the Marelich Mechanical subsidiary has been awarded a contract to provide mechanical systems for San Quentin’s new Central Health Services Building.
Burnham Hydronics announced that N.H. Yates & Co. Inc. is a new manufacturer’s rep for the company’s full line of boilers and hydronic heating equipment. Yates will cover the Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Delaware, southeast Pennsylvania, and the Washington areas.
Thomas F. Warner, president of Utility Service Express LLC, was selected the 2007 Trane HVAC Contractor of the Year. The announcement was made at the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors-National Association’s (PHCC’s) annual convention in Anaheim, Calif.
ECR International brought in David Engley as the regional sales manager
for New England. He will be responsible for leading the independent sales
agencies for ECR’s nine wholesale brands (Airco, Argo, Dunkirk, EMI, Olsen,
Oneida Royal, Pennco, Ultimate, and Utica).
The Central Penn Business Journal announced
the businesses that have made significant contributions to the success of the Central Pennsylvania region in the publication’s
11th annual “Top 50 Fastest Growing Companies” awards for 2007. For the second
consecutive year, APR Supply Co. placed on the list.
Industrial Controls Distributors LLC, a distributor of HVAC controls,
process instrumentation, and valves, has recognized controls contractor RGBS,
Staten Island, N.Y., with its Platinum Award for 2007. The award recognizes the HVAC contractor with the highest growth in
building automation controls.
Sherwood, a business unit of Harsco GasServ, promoted David Parise to
refrigeration product manager for the Superior Refrigeration Products component
of the company. Parise brings 30-plus years of experience in the refrigeration
industry to his post.
Two EMCOR subsidiaries, Poole & Kent and EMCOR Services Combustioneer Corp., have teamed up in the Baltimore area to add a strong facility maintenance and service component to the spectrum of mechanical design and construction services currently offered to their clients.
Erik Rasmussen has been named international programs manager for the Carbon Monoxide Safety Association (COSA). Before joining COSA, he worked as a service and installation specialist; as a contractor; an HVACR instructor; and combustion and carbon monoxide safety instructor.
The National Association of Oil Heating Service Managers (NAOHSM) Tidewater Chapter in Norfolk, Va., teamed up again to complete a job under the Oil Heat Cares (OHC) program, this time to assist a local elderly person in need of a new heating system.
