Greenheck, Schofield, Wis., was selected as the 2012 Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year in Milwaukee on Thursday, Feb. 28, by an independent panel of judges representing industry, education, and the public sector.

The American Subcontractors Association (ASA)-Midwest Council has announced the nominations for its 20th anniversary Platinum Awards Gala. The winners in each of four categories will be announced at the gala on April 13 at the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown St. Louis.

Ruud has formed a partnership with Chicago-based HVAC distributor NuComfort Supply Inc. Through this relationship, NuComfort Supply said it will sell Ruud residential and commercial heating and cooling systems, as well as Ruud replacement parts, indoor air quality products, and home generators.

Thompson Electric, Plumbing, Heating and Cooling hosted its fourth annual Veterans Day Celebration at its company headquarters. The company presented a check in the amount of $55,010 to Marc Burgess, executive director of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).

Gail and George Bohling received a Silver Certificate from Alderman Mary O’Connor because of improvements made to their home in Chicago’s 41st Ward. The improvements are expected to save them an estimated $483 annually on their utility bills and an estimated 24 percent reduction in gas energy usage.

Consumers Energy announced that it awarded nearly $3.7 million in incentives to commercial and industrial customers in the third quarter of 2012 to help fund 996 energy efficiency projects that will provide long-term savings.

Richard J. Cramer Sr. of Holly, Mich., a former Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association (SMACNA) president, was inducted into the Michigan Construction Hall of Fame, Oct. 25, 2012, located at Ferris State University’s Granger Center for Construction and HVACR.

SET Enterprises Inc., a provider of steel processing, duct manufacturing, and construction services with operations in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, and Alabama, announced that Victor Edozien has been named president and CEO.
