The Mechanical Contractors Association (MCA) of Chicago spearheaded the successful recent passage of three top state legislation priorities. The bills that earned passage are the Substance Abuse Prevention on Public Works Projects Act, Contractor Prompt Payment Act, and The Mechanics Lien Act.

More than 1,000 retirees and employees gathered last December to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Murphy Co. Mechanical Contractors & Engineers. From its beginnings as a two-man shop, Murphy Company has grown to be the largest mechanical contractor in St. Louis and 10th largest in the United States.

Emerson Climate Technologies and its parent company, Emerson, are making a $1 million investment in the University of Dayton’s Product Innovation Laboratory in the School of Engineering. The company said this contribution is a continuation of its history of investing in higher education.
