Designed for high-voltage fan coil and baseboard applications, the SimpleComfort® SC700 series of fan coil thermostats includes four UL-listed, nonprogrammable models. They support 24 or 115-277 vac, three-speed fan, four-pipe heat/cool applications with precise comfort controls accurate to ±1°F.
It’s no secret sensors play a critical role in building automation operation and efficiency. Their impact and effectiveness will depend on how the sensors correlate with other devices and components across the greater HVAC system. This requires some emphasis on effective design attributes and integration strategies.
Variable-frequency drive (VFD) control panels, the Endura™ line, has been introduced. The Endura PB (Pressure Booster) Control Panel is designed for commercial pressure booster applications using one-to-four VFDs, includes the VFDC-4000 controller and one VFD for each pump.
A new version of the patented Demand Limiting Controller (DLC) includes a number of advanced features such as fresh-air recirculation (based on occupied times, recirculation times, or CO2 levels), integrated management of multistage units, auto/off mode states, and enhanced auto-demand response.
The WattNode Revenue line of electric power meters are designed for use in applications requiring revenue-grade accuracy. The meters meet the accuracy requirements of ANSI C12.1 and C12.20 Class 0.5, and support Modbus, BACnet, or LonTalk® communications protocol.
Educational sessions at the 35th World Energy Engineering Congress, held Oct. 31 to Nov. 2 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, covered a broad range of energy-related topics. Two of particular interest to the HVAC industry included energy management and building commissioning.
The KL6781 M-Bus master terminal gathers data on energy consumption in building automation solutions. The master terminal extends its range of energy measurement terminals; electricity, water, gas, or energy meters with M-Bus interfaces can be integrated into the firm’s fieldbus-independent bus terminal system.
With the EE771, EE772, and EE776 thermal flowmeters, users can record the mass flow or corrected volume flow in the supply network with the highest possible precision, regardless of pressure or temperature. For example, consumption of compressed air, nitrogen, helium, CO2, or oxygen can be measured.
The Power Xpert® Gateway 200E gateway collects energy usage data from meters, enabling customers to benchmark energy usage, set energy management goals, determine the effectiveness of energy management initiatives, and reduce their energy costs.
Both the AquaGuard AG-1100E and AG-1175E are electronic condensate management sensors for metal secondary drain pans. They mount directly to the side of a metal secondary pan in seconds with a single thumbscrew, making any installation — commercial or residential — quick and easy.
