Danfoss announced it has broken ground on a new state-of-the-art laboratory for the testing of HVACR equipment. The company said the new center also will facilitate training and serve as a research and development center for future innovation.

The National Association of Oil & Energy Service Professionals (OESP) is accepting applications for its Dave Nelsen Scholarship Program. Each applicant is required to write a 500-word essay about themselves. Deadline for receipt of the 2016 application and essay is March 24, 2016.

Heat was the focus of two ASHRAE student competitions. The 2015 Design Competition focused on a three-story classroom and office building in Doha, Qatar, while for the Applied Engineering Challenge, students were required to design a collapsible portable conditioned shelter for treatment of heat illness victims.
