Spirax Sarco announced their latest training event: Basic Steam Boiler Operator Training. This five-day course will be held May 1–5 at Spirax Sarco’s state-of-the-art training facility in Blythewood, South Carolina, where participants will learn virtually all facets of steam boiler operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. 

Bacharach Inc. adds R-514A to its gas library of detectable refrigerants as chiller applications within the refrigeration industry demand refrigerants with low-global warming potential (GWP). Bacharach’s proprietary non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) technology allows its instrumentation to measure levels as low as 1 ppm of refrigerant, while maintaining high accuracy and enabling the early detection of refrigerant leaks.

By cleaning and recycling the indoor air instead of constantly replacing it with outside air, enVerid’s HLR system decreases the outside air intake required to ventilate a building by 60-80 percent and also reduces peak HVAC capacity, resulting in up to 40 percent lower utility demand charges. Venstar® announced that it has signed an exclusive agreement with Insco Distributing Inc. of San Antonio, Texas, for the distribution of Venstar HVAC control products throughout Texas and Oklahoma City.

Honeywell announced a major energy management project with Coop Denmark, to help reduce energy consumption by 20 percent by 2020 and achieve mandated carbon reduction goals. Under the project, Honeywell will deploy its software-based energy management solution, Enacto^™, and up to 20,000 new wireless Enacto submeters throughout the network of stores to provide the retailer with a unified view of energy use across all of its locations.
