Carrier continues to honor its 2016 commitment to employ approximately 1,100 associates in Indianapolis. As announced in November, this includes headquarters and engineering jobs and more than 800 employees supporting our gas furnace manufacturing center.

Executives and staff from Haier Ductless, Emerson Swan, and Action Energy will join local dignitaries for a ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the beginning of a large-scale rehab and modernization upgrade to Quincy Housing Authority buildings. The project includes over 750 new Haier FlexFit multi-zone ductless heat pump systems in four Quincy Housing Authority buildings.

Uponor North America announced that the company has signed an agreement to purchase an existing 237,000-square-foot manufacturing facility and office space in Hutchinson, Minnesota. The $6.35 million investment is located about 70 miles west from its North American headquarters in Apple Valley, Minnesota.

 

To reaffirm its commitment to the next generation of aspiring HVAC technicians, Bosch Thermotechnology donated a variety of HVAC units — including a 4-ton SM split system unit, a 2-ton BP package vertical unit, and a 4-ton SM package vertical unit — to the Atlantic Technical College and Technical High School in Coconut Creek, Florida.

Danfoss announced the opening of its new monitoring center in Baltimore, Maryland, which will provide 24/7 assistance to its food-retail customers utilizing Danfoss Enterprise Services.

Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) and the U.S. Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce (USPAACC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) calling for the two organizations to work jointly to ensure that all contractors have a fair and equal opportunity to compete for and win contracts to build federal, state, and locally funded construction projects.
