The Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) International Inc. has announced the hiring of two additional staff members and a reorganization. Dan Manole, Ph.D., has joined AMCA as the new director of certification. John Cowie, Ph.D., has joined AMCA as advocacy manager.

The Building Performance Institute Inc. (BPI) has announced the Jon Siemen Memorial Scholarship Program to help industry professionals in attaining BPI certification. The scholarship has been developed to honor Jon Siemen, BPI technical relations representative, who passed away in March 2015.

Mitsubishi Electric US Inc. has installed a 369 kW solar electric system, using its own solar modules, on the rooftop of its U.S. headquarters in Cypress, California. The system is expected to significantly cut energy costs and reduce pollutants over the next 25 years.

Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews announced it is rolling out new energy management systems in all of its restaurants. The project is on track for completion by early 2017 and will enable Red Robin to further reduce the resources needed to run the company’s 449 corporate-owned locations.
