This document responds to both the petitions and related comments that were submitted and received in accordance with the timelines established in a prior Federal Register notice inviting such petitions and comments.

The Department of Energy (DOE) has released its test data on portable air conditioners and other information in response to stakeholder questions provided to DOE at the portable air conditioners public meeting on July 20, 2016 and subsequent written correspondences.

DOE will host a public meeting on Monday, September 12, 2016 from 9:30 am - 12:30 pm at DOE's Forrestal Building, 1000 Independence Ave, Room 4A-104, S.W. Washington, DC.  

DOE will host a public meeting on October 18, 2016; 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. being held at the Navigant Offices, 1200 19th Street, Suite 700, N.W. Washington, DC.

The Department of Energy (DOE) has issued a pre-publication Federal Register supplemental notice of proposed rulemaking (SNOPR) pertaining to test procedures for consumer and certain commercial water heaters (August 15, 2016).

The comment period has changed and closes September 26, 2016.
