What Congress does this year will probably have an impact on HVAC businesses, so the industry will keep close tabs on the legislators. A focus on the national deficit and how to cut spending is expected to factor into many legislative actions this year.

One of the most exciting efforts Sedine has presided over is the development of the Quality Assured (QA) Contractor Recognition program.
In mid-October, the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) released its fourth annual State Energy Efficiency Scorecard, a report that ranks each state’s efforts in energy efficiency. According to the 2010 scorecard, California remained on top for the fourth year in a row, while states in the Southwest made the most improvement.
