Tracy Phillips

Phillips is the team leader for AEC’s Building Energy Evaluation Services Business Team (Boulder, CO) and manages a variety of projects, including retro-commissioning, energy savings performance contract support, demand-side management support, load research studies, and measurement and verification. He has performed hundreds of preliminary and detailed energy audits in his eight years as an energy engineer, in which he has diagnosed many system problems and energy savings opportunities, spanning a variety of building and system types. His extensive field experience and thorough understanding of HVAC system operation and control enables him to quickly and comprehensively identify system problems and potential candidates for improved system performance, occupant comfort, and energy savings. Phillips also supports AEC’s Sustainable Design Assistance Team in areas related to LEED accreditation, and frequently works with AEC’s Commissioning Team in support of their commissioning and retro-commissioning efforts.
