It seems like most people I talk with are not buying the New Year’s resolution hype this year. I, for one, will once again be resolving to a healthier lifestyle. As an individual that answers yes when asked if he want ham or lasagna, it is a constant battle but the New Year helps me focus.
This is also a great time of year for HVAC contractors to take a step back and look at the bigger picture. I am sure there are a lot of items you could resolve to do in 2014. These could be items such as more training for your staff, paying better attention to the numbers, or increasing your social media presence.
I would encourage contractors to pick only one or two. Once you start making a longer list, there is a pretty good chance that nothing will get accomplished. As always, get your employees involved on the planning of these changes, so that they buy in to the process.
Good luck with your business resolutions. And if you see me at the AHR Expo with a beer in one hand and a piece of shrimp the size of my fist in the other… please don’t judge.
