Online learning is not exactly news anymore. In fact, according to the National Center for Education Statistics, more than 5 million students — 25 percent of all college and university students — are enrolled in distance education courses. My husband just started taking online classes this month. He finished all the coursework for one in a week. There are obvious advantages to online learning — the chief among them being able to move at your own pace on your own time. However, there is a big difference between learning something in a classroom and learning it through an internet connection. And, I’m wondering if anything gets lost in translation? Do you think students taking online HVAC training will come out of it with the same skills as someone who took the training in a classroom setting? Interested in sharing?
