NV Energy's RenewableGenerations program is hosting a free technical workshop on Wednesday, April 23, for licensed contractors interested in learning how to install solar-powered water, space, and pool heating equipment.
The workshop instructor will be Russ Cartwright, a Nevada-based solar industry professional with more than 30 years of experience. This one-day class will cover all aspects of solar thermal installation, including site assessment; system sizing, design, and installation and tips for faster installation and maintenance. Attendees will also have an opportunity to tour the multiple thermal and other renewable energy technologies located at the REDD Facility.
After successfully completing the workshop and submitting required program documentation, participating contractors will be eligible to install solar water, space, and swimming pool heating systems for NV Energy's RenewableGenerations incentive program.
The workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Renewable Energy Deployment and Display Facility (REDD) Facility at the Desert Research Institute campus, 2215 Raggio Parkway in Reno. RSVP by emailing tlynch@nvenergy.com or call 866-786-3823. Lunch will be provided.
