In this course, an experienced and knowledgeable instructor will take you through the basics of building science - how various components of the home interact to affect the home's overall performance. Other principles covered include the relationship between the building envelope, heating, a/c, insulation, mechanical ventilation, lighting, appliances, and other systems of the home. The BSP certificate and its companion Reference Guide are designed for those who need to understand how homes work, but don't need the hands-on technical skills required of BPI Building Analysts or other BPI-certified professionals.
