U.S. shipments of central air conditioners and airsource heat pumps totaled 473,496 units in December 2017, up 6.3 percent from 445,355 units shipped in December 2016.

Shipments of manufactured durable goods in October, up five of the last six months, increased $0.3 billion or 0.1 percent to $241.0 billion.
