Kuhn was the Ohio State SkillsUSA winner as a junior, and won it again in 2011, which prepared him to go on to the national competition in Kansas City where he won 2nd place in the HVAC challenge.

The overall regional competition winner in total points was Timothy Mann Jr., Polaris Career Center. Mann received a $1,000 scholarship to Stark State College and a $100 cash prize. Both were provided courtesy of the ACCA Akron Canton Area Chapter. He is seen here with Bruce Beckwith of the ACCA chapter.
