USA competitor Chris Kuhn works on the back side of the HVACR installation project at WorldSkills. Kuhn had to build a refrigeration system with hot gas bypass, heat recovery, low-load and low-ambient controls, and electronic water temperature controls to freeze the letters and heat the domestic water in the tub. The tub is located below the L in the sign. The frame and components were provided. All installation including electrical had to be installed by Kuhn in the 16 hours allotted for this contest.
