AURORA, Ill. — JB Industries recently awarded Rick Thrasher of RES Air Conditioning, Henderson, Texas, as the winner of its “Pump Your Ride” promotion.

Thrasher’s name was pulled from a drum containing thousands of entries. As the contest winner, he received a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck.

“This promotion was a tremendous success and we are thrilled that someone like Rick, with his dedication to quality work and commitment to the consumer, won our sweepstakes,” said Jeff Cherif, president, JB Industries. “It’s always a good feeling at the end of a long promotion when someone wins who deserves it, and from all accounts, Rick and his crew are top notch.”

The winning entry, a vacuum pump, was sold at Barsco’s Longview Texas branch.

“We have been around as long as we have because I believe in doing every job the right way. That is the way my dad taught me,” said David Jones, president, Barsco. “We are thrilled that the winning entry came from Barsco. JB has been a great partner. They provide my team with hassle-free service and high-quality products. I am equally happy that RES Air Conditioning was the winner as Rick and his family have been a supporter of Barsco for over 45 years.”

Thrasher was supposed to receive a Chevrolet Camaro, but asked if JB Industries would replace the car with a truck.

“At JB, it’s all about making the customer happy and Rick really needed the truck,” said Cherif. “So we were able to give him something he really wanted and, in the end, that was the intention of the promotion.”
