Johnson Controls Inc.: Dual-Fuel Packaged Heat Pumps
October 15, 2012
The York® line of Affinity™ packaged heat pumps has been expanded with the addition of the 2-, 2.5-, 3-, 3.5-, 4-, and 5-ton dual-fuel packaged heat pumps. They achieve efficiencies up to 14 SEER, 11.8 EER, and 8 HPSF, delivering energy savings and comfort. The unit’s two-step Copeland® UltraTech 2.0™ compressor handles both two-stage cooling and heat pump operations. When combined with a two-stage gas heating module, the heat pump efficiently keeps interiors comfortably warm when outdoor temperatures dip below freezing. Features include low nitrogen oxide (NOx), for reduced carbon emissions; standard louvered condenser coil protection; YorkGuard® VI for defrost control, functionality of the heat pump, and adjustable cfm settings; and R-410A refrigerant.
On Demand Thanks to generous tax credits and rebates being offered by utilities, sales of heat pumps will likely increase exponentially in the coming years, so it’s important to understand the wide range of equipment that is currently available. In this webinar series, we will examine each of the 9 different types of heat pumps.
