Georgia has begun both the Home Efficiency Rebates (HER) and the Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates (HEAR) programs to bring down the cost of energy-efficiency improvements and clean energy upgrades.

While the direction of the industry continues to point toward wider adoption, the path forward will be driven by several key factors, ES NEWS guest contributor Adi Murthy writes.

The District is launching both the Home Efficiency Rebates (HER) and the Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates (HEAR) programs to lower energy bills by lowering costs for energy-efficiency home improvements.

Initially, Arizona’s Efficiency Arizona program, in partnership with community action agencies, will focus on providing heat pumps through an a/c replacement program that addresses heat-relief emergencies and/or financial hardships.

Bosch’s IDS Ultra can provide heat in temperatures as low as -13°F, and has a 100% heating capacity down to 5°F. It is also compliant with the new low-GWP A2L refrigerant requirements.

Established in 2021, the residential CCHPC was launched to develop, test, and commercialize heat pumps that could deliver as much heat as needed without using auxiliary heating.
