The mandatory one-day training course, delivered by Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) on behalf of the Ontario Power Authority (OPA), covers the importance of best practice installation for energy-efficient equipment and is based on the CSA C273.5-11 Standard “Installation of Air Source Heat Pumps and Air Conditioners” and focuses these six key installation factors directly affecting system efficiency: proper duct design and sealing, system sizing, accurate coil matching with condensing unit, correct airflow over indoor coil, correct refrigerant charge, and complete commissioning.
