MINNEAPOLIS — Air Reps LLC, of Bellevue, Washington, is expanding its territory to Oregon by combining operations with Oregon Air Reps, resulting in one unified presence under the Air Reps name. The move makes Air Reps LLC the primary Daikin Applied and Daikin North America HVAC equipment sales representative in the region.
Leading the newly combined organization will be Michael Hawkins, current CEO of Air Reps (Washington). Oregon Air Reps president and owner for 39 years, Dick Schweiger, is retiring from the equipment sales business. Kurt Schultheis will continue to manage the Oregon operations in Portland and Eugene. No changes to the Oregon sales force are anticipated, as the current team will continue to serve and grow customer relationships in the Oregon market.
“We’re excited to combine these two incredibly talented teams and to build on the strong foundation that Dick and his team created at Oregon Air Reps,” said Hawkins. “The synergies and commitment between our organizations made this a natural next step. It allows us to increase our resources and scale for additional investments, which will create growth and opportunities and allow us to continue enhancing our service to customers.”
“We are sincerely appreciative of Dick’s many years of leadership, and we wish him well,” said Kirk Thorne, executive vice president, sales, marketing and aftermarket at Daikin Applied. “Additionally, we are excited to expand our relationship with Michael and the strong sales engineering team in Oregon to bring Daikin’s innovations to market. Their combination enables Daikin Applied to continue streamlining our presence and align sales channels, as well as form an effective and cohesive brand.”
Air Reps LLC will continue to offer a full line of Daikin Applied products including chillers, air handlers, rooftop units, water source heat pumps, and fan coil units, as well as Daikin variable refrigerant volume (VRV) products to customers in the Washington and Oregon areas.
