ANKENY, Iowa — QA Graphics announced that it has launched an updated version of its Energy Efficiency Education Dashboard™ (EEED). In response to an industry shift away from plug-in applications, the new version uses HTML5 to build design features that allow for a better user experience with reduced security risks.
The EEED is a web application that educates occupants about building performance by showcasing real-time energy data and green building features. The EEED highlights sustainable efforts made in the design and construction of a building, which may help acquire points toward Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) certification. The dashboards are used by schools, universities, businesses, health care facilities, and data centers. The application can be displayed in a common area via large format kiosk display or on any web-enabled device.
Since the EEED’s initial development, QA Graphics has continued to upgrade the product for customers aiming to raise awareness of their energy consumption. The dashboard includes customizable features and personalized branding, as well as a content management system (CMS) for updating text and photos for one flat cost with no recurring fees.
“Our goal is to provide the best possible product to our clients,” said Dan McCarty, owner. “We put in careful consideration and time to make sure that the needs of our customers are being met or exceeded. In light of the security issues with plug-ins, our staff has worked tirelessly to transition the product to HTML and ultimately create a better product.”
