COLUMBUS, Ohio— The Heating, Air-conditioning & Refrigeration Distributors International (HARDI) Foundation has awarded three scholarships to cover members’ registration costs to attend the University of Industrial Distribution (UID) March 2016 in Indianapolis.

The winners of the 2016 David M. Lawson Scholarships are:

• JJ Pond from Tulsa Winair, Tulsa, Okla.

• Brandon Gregory from American Metals Supply, Hazelwood, Mo.

• Eric Cameron from American Metals Supply, Indianapolis, Ind.

This year, HARDI received a record number of applications – more than triple any previous year – prompting the foundation trustees to approve three scholarships.

“It’s very encouraging to see more and more of our members embracing their continued development – that mindset alone has the potential to open doors and create opportunities for them in the future,” said Nick Benton, HARDI’s manager of professional development.

UID offers a concentrated educational program focused on the unique needs of the wholesale distribution industry. The 2016 program takes place March 6-9, 2016, at the JW Marriott Indianapolis Hotel.
