COLUMBUS, Ohio — After 25 years serving HVACR distribution, HARDI Member Services Supervisor Sue Calvin has retired from the association.
“Sue has an unwavering commitment to the mission of the association and can always be counted on to serve as a surrogate voice of our members here at HARDI headquarters,” said HARDI CEO Talbot Gee. “Her tireless contributions with HALO [Helping All Live On], and, more recently, advancing the cause of Homes for Our Troops [HFOT], are appreciated deeply and will be proudly carried on.”
Calvin started in 1991 at HARDI’s predecessor, North American Heating & Air Conditioning Wholesalers (NHAW), serving in the membership department under the leadership of Jim Wilder. She took over as staff liaison to the Impact and Manufacturer Rep committees in 2010, adding HALO in 2011, when the group began supporting Homes for Our Troops.
“As I close this chapter of my life, I will miss all of the wonderful friendships I’ve made with our members over the years,” Calvin said. “I’m most proud of the impact HALO and our members have had on our veterans by growing HFOT annual contributions fivefold since 2011. I lost someone very close to my heart in the Vietnam War, and this has been my tribute to him.”
Sue is looking forward to spending more quality time with her husband, Chris, children and four grandchildren and plans to visit friends around the country.
