COLUMBUS, Ohio,– The HARDI Board of Directors has appointed Larry Golen to the position of Supplier Advisor.

We are excited to announce the addition of Larry Golen as the Supplier Advisor to the HARDI Board of Directors,” says HARDI President Tom Roberts. “Larry's combination of leadership experience and current professional role with Heatcraft in the Refrigeration sector place him in a unique position to provide valuable insight and guidance to the Board to positively impact our members' future prosperity.

Golen holds his current post as Vice President and General Manager at Heatcraft Refrigeration Products LLC, based out of Stone Mountain near Atlanta, GA.

Formerly the Vice President and General Manager at Grace Construction Products, Golen made the transition from the construction products industry to refrigeration at Heatcraft in 2010. He drew upon similarities between the two industries, such as relatively seasonal product demand and utilization of distributors in sales to contractors, to quickly learn the ropes. “Other similarities for me were that both are manufacturing businesses that produce products in the United States, product requirements are influenced by energy efficiency and regulatory standards, and both are also applied products that require a high degree of technical service and support before, during, and after the sale from the manufacturer.

I am honored to become a member of the HARDI Board of Directors as a Supplier Advisor,” says Golen. “At Heatcraft, we consider distribution a strategic and critically important channel to market.

Golen brings expertise to the HARDI Board of Directors from several other board positions he holds elsewhere. He serves as Director at Large on the Board of Directors at AHRI, represents Heatcraft on the Board of Directors for a joint venture company by the name of Frigus Bohn, and is on the Advisory Board for the Georgia Manufacturing Extension Partnership (GaMEP) through the Enterprise Innovation Institute at Georgia Tech.

I look forward to working with the HARDI Board to bring insights and collaborate on ways to ensure that as an industry we continue to refine, broaden, and provide a compelling unified value proposition to the market by OEMs like ourselves with our wholesale distribution partners.

Golen replaces Dave Shingleton who recently retired from White-Rodgers.
