COPPELL, Texas — Service World Expo Officials awarded Shannon Bartlett of Bartlett Heating and Cooling with the 2019 Woman Contractor of the Year award at the Service World Expo in Las Vegas. Bartlett was recognized for her excellent work in taking her company to the next level.
Shannon Bartlett is the owner and general manager of a family business located in Marietta, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta. The company has been owned and operated by the Bartlett family since the early 1970’s, starting as a new construction oriented company. In 2000, the company, under Bartlett's guidance, focused on residential replacement and emphasized being “the home town company with a home town feel.” Since 2010, she has functioned as the general manager and vice president, facilitating a 100 percent company growth in revenue and achieving a 612 percent growth in profit. Bartlett has worked in the company since she was in middle school and bought the company from her step-dad in 2018.
“There are so many brilliant women that contribute so much to the service trades,” said Bartlett. “I am in awe of the ladies I meet in this industry and what I have learned from them is invaluable. So to be recognized as Woman Contractor of the Year is validation of all of the heart and soul I have poured into Bartlett Heating and Cooling and of how far the industry has come, in part due to strong women!”
