Davidson, N.C. — Trane has been named America’s Most Trusted HVAC Systems brand by Lifestory Research for the eighth year in a row since 2015. The 2022 ranking stems from Lifestory Research’s America’s Most Trusted Study, which surveyed 12,864 people in the United States on their opinions of HVAC brands. In addition to earning the top ranking in the study, Trane received the highest Net Trust Quotient score (118.8) among shoppers.
“Being named ‘America’s Most Trusted’ brand in the HVAC System category for eight consecutive years speaks volumes to Trane Residential’s unwavering commitment to design the most reliable and innovative HVAC solutions for our homeowners,” said Kathryn Wildrick, brand manager for Trane Residential. “We take pride in offering trustworthy and top-of-the-line HVAC solutions and are honored that our consumers continue to recognize our ability to do just that in order to meet their everyday heating and cooling needs.”
Lifestory’s America’s Most Trusted Study asks consumers to evaluate several brand equity metrics to understand brand trust. Trust is calculated via the Lifestory Research Net Trust Quotient in which a score of 100 is average for all brands included in the study. To be considered as a top candidate for recognition, a brand needs to acquire enough survey responses to achieve a 95 percent confidence level. Once confidence levels are determined, survey results are compared with peer organizations of like size and complexity.
“Knowing the purchase of an HVAC system is a major investment for homeowners, brand trust plays a critical role in their purchasing decisions,” said Eric Snider, president of Lifestory Research. “Trane consistently earns consumer assurance, which is evident in ranking #1 in the annual America’s Most Trusted study.”
In addition to the Lifestory Research 2022 America's Most Trusted Study, Trane retained the third position in their Smart Thermostat study.
