YEAR-TO-DATE: Year-to-date U.S. shipments of residential gas storage water heaters decreased 5.6% and residential electric storage water heater shipments increased 4.4%. Year-to-date U.S. shipments of commercial gas storage water heaters decreased 7.7% and commercial electric storage water heater shipments decreased 25.45%. Year-to-date U.S. shipments of gas warm air furnaces decreased 6.0% and shipments of oil warm air furnaces decreased 13.2%. Year-to-date combined shipments of central air conditioners and air-source heat pumps increased 3.4%, shipments of central air conditioners increased 2.4%, and the total for heat pump shipments increased 4.9%.
