YEAR-TO-DATE: Year-to-date U.S. shipments of residential gas storage water heaters decreased 9.7% and residential electric storage water heater shipments increased 0.2% during the same period in 2021. Year-to-date U.S. shipments of commercial gas storage water heaters decreased 6.5% and commercial electric storage water heater shipments decreased 24.0% during the same period in 2021. Year-to-date U.S. shipments of gas warm air furnaces decreased 1.5% and U.S. shipments of oil warm air furnaces decreased 17.1% during the same period in 2021. Year-to-date combined shipments of central air conditioners and air-source heat pumps increased 4.0%, shipments of central air conditioners increased 1.9%, and total for heat pump shipments increased 7.3% during the same period in 2021.
