ST. LOUIS — Marcone, a distributor of HVAC, plumbing, commercial kitchen, and swimming pool parts and equipment, has opened two new warehouses, increasing its floor space by 140,000 square feet.
The new warehouse in Jacksonville, Florida, is 100,000 square feet, and the new location in Louisville, Kentucky, is 40,000 square feet. Between the two sites, an estimated 50 new jobs will be created.
Marcone has tripled in size over the last two years by adding HVAC, plumbing, commercial kitchen, and pool/spa equipment to the growing list of materials it distributes. Both of the new facilities will enable customers to obtain products from top manufacturers and search Marcone’s extensive catalog, inclusive of appliance parts.
“The expansion of parts and equipment that are accessible through the Jacksonville and Louisville distribution centers is a boon to customers who rely on Marcone for speed and accuracy,” said Avichal Jain, Marcone’s CEO. “Now, we have the ability to service more customers with a broader set of products needed for home repairs and in most cases deliver orders within a day.”
Previously, the Louisville center had been a 100,000-square-foot home to 60,000 appliance, HVAC and commercial kitchen SKUs. With an additional 6,000 plumbing SKUs, Marcone opened a second, 40,000-square-foot building at the same location. Marcone now has 140,000 square feet in Louisville, and both buildings utilize smart technology to assist workers in navigating the warehouse so they can complete orders efficiently.
The Jacksonville location will process more than 100,000 appliance, plumbing, and commercial kitchen SKUs. The facility is expected to lead to the creation of dozens of new jobs in the area. As is the case in Louisville, smart technology will be optimized so that orders are processed quickly and accurately.
