ALEXANDRIA, Va. — ACCA’s Educational Institute standards task team has opened an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) public review period for proposed revisions to ANSI/ACCA Manual S - 2014, Residential Equipment Selection.

This public review involves only the additional modifications that were made based on comments received about the first ANSI public review draft, which was dated November 25, 2022.

The 45-day ANSI public review period began July 21 and continues through Monday, September 4. The Manual S standard provides procedures for selecting and sizing residential heating, cooling, dehumidification, and humidification equipment. The "Normative" sections of the standard provide the equipment-selection and equipment-sizing criteria necessary to implement the standard's requirements.
