Only 2% of HVACR employees are women, though the number is growing. Therefore, recognizing the women who do serve in this industry is vital. Which is why our team at The ACHR NEWS makes it a priority to highlight those women in HVACR each year.
This year The NEWS received more than 450 nominations, with career paths ranging from technician to engineer to business owner to CEO.
One of this year’s honorees, Jennifer Butsch, director of regulatory affairs at Copeland, shared some advice to those women considering a career in HVACR:
“Every industry benefits from having a more diverse workforce, and the HVACR industry is no different. Whether you are technical and hands-on as a technician, contractor, or engineer; or are more strategically focused in marketing, planning, scheduling, finance, or human resources, there is a place here for you.”
