ST. LOUIS — Employees of Marcone, a distributor of appliance, HVAC, plumbing, commercial kitchen, and pool and spa parts, recently joined thousands across the country in placing wreaths on the gravesites of fallen members of the armed services as an act of gratitude for their sacrifice.
On Saturday, Dec. 16, Marcone employees took part in Wreaths Across America, a nationwide initiative involving about 2 million volunteers who placed wreaths at more than 3,700 cemeteries across the U.S. and abroad.
Although Marcone has participated in Wreaths Across America in the past with volunteer teams in St. Louis, Missouri, and Tampa and Pensacola, Florida, the company expanded its commitment for 2023. It purchased 1,000 wreaths and coordinated teams in 10 cities nationwide to place 100 wreaths each.
Employees responded eagerly and all volunteer slots were filled in a matter of hours, the company said in a press release.
