ROSWELL, Ga. — Rheem Manufacturing Co.’s Innovation Learning Center was the site of a Women in HVACR regional event on Feb. 23.

Hosted by Rheem, Live Oak Bank, and Hawkins HVAC Distributors Inc., and supported by Women in HVACR, the networking event was the first of its kind in the Atlanta area, according to a press release from Rheem. It was designed to foster collaboration and professional growth for women in the HVACR industry.

Attendees included HVACR industry technicians, contractors, distributors, suppliers, service providers, manufacturers, and educators.

Presenters included Becky Kelly, a regional sales manager at Rheem; Makenzi Roberts, Rheem’s content and communications marketing manager; and Live Oak Bank’s Jordan Cordero, a loan officer who specializes in HVAC and plumbing businesses.

The presenters shared the latest on the evolving HVAC landscape, focusing on key trends, including preparing for policy and regulatory changes, decarbonization, homeowner and business financing, social media, digital marketing, and artificial intelligence (AI).

“To witness a diverse group come together to share insights, forge connections, and drive positive change in our industry was truly inspiring,” said Roberts in the press release. “At Rheem, we are focused on continuing to be a strong partner to our customers and colleagues in the HVACR industry, and hosting this amazing event was a great way for us to support the growth of the dynamic women in this field. We look forward to hosting impactful future sessions.”
